Nick has been a member of CF231 since its opening 2 yrs ago. If you drop by the gym most days at 6pm you will see Nick working on his olympic lifts during the open gym. If you stay for the 7pm you will see Nick taking on the daily WOD. We asked Nick some questions regarding his Crossfit experiences. Hometown? West Babylon What is your occupation? Construction Project Manager How long have you been CrossFitting? I have been Crossfitting 2 years, I am a charter member of CF231. What brought you to CF231? I saw it on Facebook and it’s convenient location What was your first impression of Crossfit after your first “real” wod. How sick it made me feel, yet how much I loved it. What makes CF231 special to you? It’s a  tight knit family, supportive environment and it has a great deal of open gym time Favorite movement? Deadlift Least favorite movement? Muscle up, although I keep working on them  What movements would make up your favorite WOD? “Diane is my favorite workout (Deadlifts/HSPU) What motivates you to keep coming back each day? I love pushing myself and I’m hoping to get into some powerlifting competitions soon What has been the most challenging part of your Crossfit journey? Diet….. I love Italian food Short term goals? Improve my powerlifting and trim some weight Long term goals? Change my ratio between muscle and body fat What/Who motivates or inspires you? I see old pictures of myself at my sisters wedding. Didn’t like that double chin Favorite Quote? “Liift Heavy Everyday” Have you made any changes in your diet or workouts that have been the most successful? I have cut out refined carbs and got rid of sugar. It has made a big dirrerence in how I feel Any advice for someone just starting out? Give it some time, its hard at first but your body does get use to the abuse. Hobbies? Golf, shooting at the range, hiking Favorite Cheat Meal?
